Repeat Prescriptions
Patients on long-term medication can order repeat prescriptions in a number of ways:
- By Hand – drop your repeat slip in at the surgery with the required items clearly marked. please mark your pharmacy choice
- By Post – send it to us with a stamped addressed envelope if you want us to post it back to you.
- By Phone -we now have a new prescription request line for repeat medication only. you can call 01698 75 50 52 between 8am and 8pm on weekdays (excluding public holidays)
- Online – follow the link at the top of this page and carry out a simple registration.
we no longer Fax prescriptions to pharmacies you would need to arrange to have them collected if it was urgent.
You can also place orders via your local pharmacy however as most pharmacies collect in the morning or early afternoon so please allow a minimum of 3 days for this service. You must provide us with consent to allow us to continue to send your prescription to your chosen pharmacy
Collection
PLEASE NOTE A CHANGE TO THE COLLECTION TIMES.
Due to the increase of prescription requests and GP workload it has been necessary to extend the length of time for collection. We now require 3 working days to process your prescription ready for collection.
In order to keep the service as prompt as possible please inform us what pharmacy you wish to collect your prescription. Please be aware all information you provide on your prescription request is printed and attached to the completed prescription. If you use the pharmacy service please ensure you provide them with enough notice to allow us to process and return it to them.
Medication Reviews
Patients on repeat medication will be asked to see either a doctor, or practice nurse at least once a year to review these regular medications.
